He does this with classical painting problems, but with a playful imagery and a loose, abstract style, blurring the line between high and low art and bringing contemporary painting to a wider audience through content that is accessible to all.



Ádám Dóra

1993

Dóra Ádám graduated from the Painting Department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2017. His masters were Zsigmond Károlyi and Zoltán Ötvös. He is a regular participant of national and international exhibitions. His works can be found in private collections, as well as in the Contemporary Collection of NOW Esterhazy Contemporary, (AT) and the Contemporary Collection of the Hungarian National Bank. In 2020 he received the special prize at the ‘Calling Across the Distance’ Emergent Art Space, San Francisco (CA), and an honorary mention in the ‘Minimalism’ open call at Envision Arts, Frisc (TX). He was shortlisted for the Kepesita Collection Art Award (HU) in 2020, the Esterházy Art Award (HU) in 2021, and the Strabag Artaward International (AT) in 2022 and 2023. In 2024 he spent 2 months in London on a study trip and participated in the residency programme at the Piramidón Centre di Arte Contemporani in Barcelona. He created his first serigraph in collaboration with Heart & Cherry in 2025.
